In the old days, long press runs were necessary to amortize the expense of a title since most of the cost of a job was in the front-end camera work, plate-making, and press make-readies. In order to bring down the per-unit price, you had to increase the print order. The Digital Print System has changed that scenario. By streamlining print production and its associated costs, projects can be economically produced in smaller quantities and on shorter schedules than ever before possible.
Using our digital presses, we work to ensure that type, art, and images are produced to high standards. And, with our specially calibrated digital scanners, we can even legacy projects without sacrificing the subtleties of the most delicate typeface.
The Digital Print System utilizes high-speed digital presses for laserprint-based production of publications from digitized files. Every page printed on these digital presses is an original, so high-quality is maintained throughout a print run without the waste and costs intrinsic to the offset printing process. Manufacturing schedules are greatly reduced in this print environment, yielding quick turn-around and delivery… whether you are printing 10, 100, or 1000 books.
